Grow Tea Plants From Seeds
Growing tea plants from the seed takes around four weeks. Purchase the quality tea seed from a trusted shop and grow in a humid location.
Step 1: Preparation
First, you should soak the seeds in the water for one or two days. This allows the tea seeds to absorb more water that helps to start the germination process. If you remove it from the water, then you can place it in the seed tray in a sunny location and continuously spray the soil to keep it damp.
Step 2: Germination
Keep the sand moist and in a sunny position, and growth will begin over 6 weeks. If seed germination has occurred, and the tea plant has developed two to four leaves, it is the right time to separate the plant into the pot with the help of ericaceous compost. Now move to a warm location but keep it in the shaded position and spray water regularly to keep the soil humid. If the soil dries, then the plant will die.
Step 3: Cultivation
Now it is time to cultivate when the tea plant reaches over 15 or 20 centimeters. You can re-pot the plant and provide ample space for plant roots. Use the ericaceous composes to re-pot the plant. During the rainy days, you need to take extra care on the plant. Place it in the shaded spots in the home or under the shadow of the large shrub.
